Thursday, Oct. 12 was an evening to remember as the Georgia Symphony Orchestra celebrated the kick-off of its 73rd Season with an amazing party at the Foxglove Marietta.
Patrons of the orchestra, along with community leaders in business, government and philanthropy gathered to enjoy the swinging sounds of GSO Jazz and engage in a curated wine pull sponsored by Marietta Proper. Chairman of the Board, Mike Knowles, officially introduced Suzanne Tucker as the new Executive Director for the GSO.
The highlight of the evening was a masterful performance by the renowned cellist, Okorie “OkCello” Johnson, who demonstrated his unique looping technique and skillful improvisations.
The 73rd Season Opening Celebration marks the beginning of another season of extraordinary music with the GSO.
