The Georgia Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Timothy Verville announce the results of the first round of judging for the Beethoven 9 Vocal Competion.
The Beethoven 9 Vocal Competition was created to provide an equal and open opportunity for vocalists to compete regardless of background. There is no application fee, no accompanist fee, and the opportunity for winners to perform with the GSO in concert singing a featured solo part in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, receive a $2,000 honorarium, hotel accommodations, and up to $500 reimbursement for travel expenses for the performance.
