(Marietta, Ga. August 29, 2022) The Georgia Symphony Orchestra (GSO) is opening their 72nd season on Sept. 10 and 11, 2022 with the Brass Splash concert. This season consists of performances from orchestral, choral, jazz, holiday, sensory friendly and youth orchestras ensembles.
“Our musicians and staff have been working around the clock to make this season spectacular,” said Tim Verville, Georgia Symphony’s Music Director and Conductor. “Our team is excited to be hosting patrons again.”
GSO Music Director and Conductor Timothy Verville will lead the Brass Splash season opener, which features works from Arturo Marquez’s Danzon No. 7, Gustav Mahler’s Blumine, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 and Giuseppe Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco.
The Brass Splash will be held at the Marietta Performing Arts Center at 8pm on the 10th and 3pm on the 11th.
The Georgia Symphony Orchestra’s 72nd season has more performances and seating options than ever before. With nine concerts and 17 performances, there is something for everyone, including matinee options.
