Ivana came to the United States in the year 2000. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Performance from Kennesaw State University where she studied under David Watkins. As a result of her outstanding musical and pianist ability, Ivana has received numerous awards. In April 2004, she received Outstanding Performer Awards at the Georgia Music Teacher Association. In the same year, she was awarded the Joseph Meek scholarship (named for the dean of the KSU College of the Arts) by the Steinway Society of Atlanta. In 2005, she received another award from the Atlanta Steinway Society under the Barbara Kirby Founder’s Scholarship. She earned Honorable Mention at the MTNA Performance Competition in 2006. She also won first place in the GMEA (Georgia Music Educators Association) college piano division competition twice, earning a performance berth at their statewide convention in Savannah in January 2005 and 2007. She has taken several master classes with Seymour Bernstein, Christopher Harding, Chu-Fang Huang, and more. She was the winner of Piano Concerto Competition where she performed Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 with the Kennesaw State University Orchestra in 2008. Ivana also plays violin as her second instrument.
