Brandon McDaniel is in his senior year studying double bass and music education at Kennesaw State University, and is currently principal player in the KSU Orchestra. Studying under bassist Douglas Sommer of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Brandon has had the opportunity to study and play double bass in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. His career has led him to play in many diverse genres of music including jazz, bluegrass, rock, and musical theater. He has also performed in mater classes with such world renowned bassists as DaXhun Xang, Eugene Levinson, Francesco Petracci, and Edwin Barker. Most recently Brandon was finalist in the annual KSU concerto competition, performing the 1st movement of the Concerto for Double Bass by Serge Koussevitzky. Brandon is also an active member of the Cobb Symphony Orchestra.
