Christopher Nero, guitarist virtuoso, comes to us with roots from Cleveland, Ohio. His mentor and guitar instructor Richard Lurie introduced him to the beautiful tones of the Classical guitar. Mr. Nero has performed guitar works as an orchestra member for Chagrin Valley Little Theater, Cuyahoga Community College Theater, as well as being a member and guitar instructor for The Valley Art Center.
Since moving to the Atlanta area in1987, Mr. Nero has been performing as a jazz guitarist with various groups in and around the Atlanta area as well as a soloist performing classical, acoustic and jazz guitar. Mr. Nero currently teaches private guitar lessons at the Georgia Center for the Arts in Kennesaw and also with the City of Cumming Parks and Recreation. He has been involved with teaching for 20 years. He has received the prestigious award of “Teacher of The Year” from North Gwinnett Community School 2004-2005 and most recently from Archer High Community School for 2009-2010. His gratification comes from sharing his passion for music with his students.
