CSO Chorus History

The Cobb Symphony Orchestra Chorus is one of the few professionally-trained, all-volunteer choruses sponsored by the Cobb Symphony Orchestra.

Founded in 2007, the Cobb Symphony Chorus performs the great masterpieces for chorus and orchestra. A volunteer group drawing singers from all over the greater metro region, it serves as the Principal Chorus of the Cobb Symphony Orchestra.

Each year, the CSO Chorus dedicates its performance services to the Cobb Symphony Orchestra for all choral programs scheduled by the CSO during its subscription concert series.

The Chorus has its sights set on its own performance series in addition to the Symphony and looks forward to setting the stage for Handel's Messiah in years to come.

Highlights of this first season will include at least two performances with the CSO - the Holiday Pops and Beethoven's exhilarating Ninth Symphony!

The CSO is delighted to announce that Bryan Black (First United Methodist Church of Marietta and DeKalb Choral Guild) leads the ensemble and expands the extraordinary artistic depth of the CSO.
