Our 2016-2017 Master Works Series features some of the world’s greatest classical music featuring new GSO Music Director, Timothy Verville! In addition, the season includes performances by the GSO Chorus, GSO Jazz! and the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as a special Sensory Friendly performance in partnership with Autism Speaks.

Legends of Zelda

The Georgia Symphony Orchestra opens the 2016-2017 Master Works season with new Music Director Timothy Verville in a celebration of festive music and an art exhibition! The music will move us as we Process, Promenade, and Dance our way through a delightful sound and sight program of energetic music and art! Come early to see exciting and thought-provoking visual artists. Then enjoy a musical exhibition on stage featuring a variety of GSO talent. The evening concludes with Mussorgsky’s epic Pictures at an Exhibition accompanied by projected images of the art that inspired the music.

GYSO Season Opening Concerts

GYSO Midseason Concerts

The Georgia Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with Autism Speaks is proud to present the second annual Sensory Friendly Concert designed especially for persons with autism and their families. A new addition to GSO’s educational and outreach program, this concert will give a broad overview of the great expanse of classical music. Sensory sensitive listeners and family members will delight in the discovery of an orchestral experience that invites and welcomes the autistic into the world of classical music, with guest violinist John Irrera.
